The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

browser hijack by tribalfusion?

I just noticed that all my browser was real slow and I couold only get to certain pages...I then noticed that page requests were being filtered to tribalfusion.com then passed along to my requested page.

System info:
Windows 2000
ZoneAlarm Pro
IE6

I updated and ran the following:

Pestpatrol - found and removed tribalfusion cookie
Adaware - found Alexa and removed
HiJackThis - found nothing unusual
Registry Mechanic
Full virus scan with Nortons - nothing
Full virus scan at Trend Micro -nothing

None of the above helped. The sites I do get to look wrong so I looked at source code...all sites I can get to have a javascript src at top for 'http://127.0.0.1/js.cgi'.... This code seems to be added to all pages to reference a local javascript file. I searched my system and could not locate the file. Then I search my registry and found references to tribalfusion and that js file. I removed these items but it did not correct the problem. I have looked at my host file and it looks fine haviing just the 127.0.0.1 localhost listing. I am at a loss as to what the problem could be.

I am able to get email, ftp etc. seems to only be affecting browsing.

Any help would be so so greatly appreciated...trying to get work done at night from the affected computer....Start Free Trial
