It's either a virus or someone is spoofing your email address i.e. using your email address as a cover to send viruses/spam to other people.
As mentioned it is most likely a virus though. Check to see if you have received any emails warning that messages you have sent were not delivered or blocked due to a virus.
I'd recommend a full system virus scan on you computer (make sure your definitions are up-to-date).
If it doesn't seem to be virus, then your email address might be being spoofed. Unfortunately there's not much you personally can do here, except let your Internet/Email Service Provider know.

Somebody who has your email address in their address book probably has a virus. The virus sends mails saying they're coming from you, and other people in that address book. You might want to do a full virus scan on your computer just in case.
