Norton internet security prob

IM trying to install Norton internet security on a comp.But i keep getting this error message"norton internet security 2005 installation has failed".I do not have any other symantec products on the comp.Are there maybe some hiiden files somewhere that i have to delete.Thnx in advance for your help
