Content Filtering Program (500 pts)
Hi everyone,
We just installed a second T1 circuit here and bought a shiny new Cisco ASA5510 to go along with it. We are getting ready to send all of our internet traffic accross this line and leave the VPNs and our websites on the other. The issue I have been tasked with is to find and implement a program / appliance to filter the content of websites people go to. I would also like to have something a bit more granular in the sense that I want to monitor where people go online and be able to stop users from going to improper sites and even stop them from listening/watching straming media (which strangles our current circuit).
We have looked into Websense and Surfcontrol, but they are entirely too expensive to pay yearly. I was wondering if anyone out there had something in mind that is cheaper and just as efficient.
