The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Weird, confusing website/dns problem.

Asked by JGJacobs in Miscellaneous Security, Apache Web Server, Domain Name Service (DNS)

My website was hacked by some ass called JaMaYcKa a while ago. I restored all the index files and the website was back to normal. I have 1 hosting accounts and I have many add-on and parked domains. I have activated wildcard DNS for some of my domains. The only problem i've had is that after the hacking incident, any domain name when entered without the www prefix will be forwarded to the main domain of the hosting account, ie. hazardcell.com. Last week I reported that to my hoster and they solved that. But this week all of a sudden, when I enter the domain names without the www prefix it goes to a page that says "website hacked by JaMaYcKa" and when I enter it with the www prefix the pages work normally. One website with or without the www prefix forwards to a successful Apache install page. When I try to access specific files on the website without the www prefix it gives me a 404 error but when I enter the URI with the www prefix it works OK. I am really baffled. Any idea what the problem might be???

Affected websites are:-
hazardcell.com
jgjurl.com
hl2x.com
hl2e.com
5jb.org
5jb.info
veryshorturl.com

I have a couple of other websites on the hosting account that are working fine:-
aboycalledsu.com
grow2health.com
taskakidz.net
abbotsbury.net

The first 3 of the websites that are working fine run on WordPress.Start Free Trial
