The Virtual Machine could not be started because the hypervisor is not running.
Hi,
I have PC with its informaition:
-Intel Server Board S3000AH
-Intel Q6600 processor
This PC is meet requirement of Server2008 with Hyper-V. I run SecurAble toot and it pass these requirements: 64 bit length, hardware D.E.P and hardware Virtualization.
But after I install Hyper-V and setup Virtual Machine. I try to start Virtual Machine in order to install OS on it then I got this message: The Virtual Machine could not be started because the hypervisor is not running.
Please help.

I rcvd errors when trying to start a newly created virtual machine out of Hyper-V. After searching for a little while I found this entiry and yep, Flipping the bit worked for me!
Thanks folks......I am installing SharePoint on several VM's for testing and this was only a stumbling block on the road the SharePoint heaven....

There may be additional settings to adjust in the system's BIOS. On my HP Proliant I had to do all of the following;
No-Execute Memory Protection - Enabled
Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled
* Processor Hyper Threading - Disabled
No-Execute Memory Protection - Enabled
Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled
* Processor Hyper Threading - Disabled
Thanks for the power off suggestion. That's what was hanging me up.
