The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. FTP Passive

I have 2 server. Between Server A and B there is a firewall...but the firewall is set to be open from A to B and vice versa. As below output...Server A can authenticate to Server B but unable to view the directory by ls command.

[root@server B ~]# ftp serverBip
Connected to ftp serverBip.
220 ProFTPD 1.3.0 Server (Server B) [192.168.0.11]
500 AUTH not understood
500 AUTH not understood
KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type
Name (ftp serverBip:root): john

Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp> ls
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
Passive mode refused.  Turning off passive mode.
No control connection for command: Transport endpoint is not connected
