Desktop Icons Hidden

I have icons on my desktop when I look at it in Explore, but none are showing on my actual desktop.
Some kind of malware hid my desktop completely and locked my settings. I got it back with smartfix.

Now I still can't see my icons. Is there a hide icons feature?
