I have an openSolaris 8 box, that has roles. I need to change the password on one of the roles. How do I change the password on a role on a network?

The term OpenSolaris 8 is a contradiction, there is no such thing. You can have OpenSolaris, or Solaris 8, but not both. Which is it? And you said that the role is on the network? Do you mean that it is stored in a network naming service? If so, what is the service? NIS, NIS+, LDAP, AD?
