Virus Problem: RPC early termination

Hi Guys,

My laptop runs XP (Home) and keeps shutting down with a flag generated by "NT admin" stating that Windows will shut down in 60secs due to RPC early termination . It then counts down and shuts me down irrespective of whatever i do.

I have downloaded patches from MS but the virus (I think it is a virus) does not let them install. I also installed Norton to no avail. It was installed but shuts down at every attempt to scan the system.

I need HELP!!!!!! Any help would be appreciated.
