  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Virus Question

Hi

I have Windows XP installed and have Norton Anti Virus and Internet Secuity 2003.

I have a broadband connection to the internet so I often leave the computer on and connected for long periods of time. On more than one occasion over the past few days I have got back to my computer to notice that Outlook (I'm using Office XP) has tried to send hundreds of emails. I only know this because Norton Anti Virus freezes as it cannot cope with all the scanning of outbound emails. It seems obvious that I have a virus of some sort

I have updated my virus definitions and done a full scan of my computer in both normal and safe modes and Norton does not find anything.

How do I find out what virus I have and how do I remove it ?
