I am looking out for some free spyware Cleaner software (genuine). could anyone refer me to any site or so, please?

And, of course, keeping current with WindowsUpdate, since many new problems have been resolved with updates; many the past couple of days; as well as keeping a good Viruscan program up and updated with definition files.

thanks for your links, i will try that.

my problems are like, irritating advertisement popup windows, very slow in system speed, etc.
I don't have much knowledge about updating the Windows. Could you please let me know how to do that?

This will help remove unnecessary spyware/malware and also keep your computer protected in Real-Time, meaning if spyware is trying to infect your system, this software will detect it before it can run and remove it.  Very good option.

Sometimes popups are due to spyware on your system, but many web sites also cause popup (or popunder) ads when you load their web page.  You can combat this with one of the many free popup blockers.  MSN, Yahoo, and Google all offer free "toolbars" that include a popup blocker.

Panicware makes a very good popup blocker called Popup Stopper, including a free version (http://www.panicware.com/product_downloads.html).  

I have used both Popup Stopper and Google Toolbar, and both work quite well.  Unfortunately, these popup blockers will not be able to stop the animated Macromedia Flash ads that some are now using.

If your system is running slow, you might also want to get hold of CWShredder.  It goes after the Cool Web Search adware, that comes in many variants.  Go to  http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html and download the standalone version of CWShredder (it's the free one).
