The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Computers not populating in WSUS

Hello,

I have recently installed WSUS on an existing web server.  When I first configured a GPO, I had created a test OU and only put my test computer in it.  The test computer showed up in the Admin console within 5 minutes, and I was able to begin testing.  All was working extremely well.  I then applied the GP to another OU that has about 10 PCs in it.  I can tell the GP is being applied, as the Automatic Updates section of the registry appear to be correct, with the proper URL and port.  The problem is that they aren't showing up in the WSUS admin console.  I moved my test computer into the same OU as the others, applied a couple more updates to it - and it updated just fine last night, so I am assuming the GP is working fine in this OU as well.  Am I being too impatient?  I linked the GP to the OU yesterday afternoon - how long does it generally take to start populating with computers?  Since my test machine showed up almost immediately, I'm assuming the others shouldn't be taking so long...

I have run the installselfupdateonport80 script, but I wouldn't think that would be the problem anyway, simply because my test computer works so well.

What could possibly be wrong?
