I read many of the post regarding this topic so please don't expect points for referring me to them. I have activated the the GPO to Force logoff when logon hours expire under a GP that I have created for testing. This object is located under Computer Configurations|Windows Settings|Security Settings. I have also run the NET ACCOUNTS command as follows: NET ACCOUNTS /FORCELOGOFF:0 with the results shown below.( I receive an error message when attempting to append the /DOMAIN switch which is also annoying so I left it out.) The test user has sufficient permissions to apply the GPO (read and apply GPO). I know that he does because all other policies I have changed are being applied.
I don't want to use any screen savers or monkey with any registry settings. I just want to know why this does not work as adverstised and how is it suppose to work. The other threads on this topic are very, very, very muddy with too many recommendations that are irrelevant.
SO what is the big mystery?
