The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Can someone recommend a good Encryption software for my computer ?

Asked by RCK95 in Windows Network Security, Encryption for Network Security

Tags: password

I know someone asked this question before but it is back in 2003. So I was wondering if someone could recommend me with  updated infomation.
This is what I need...I simply want to keep some data and word doc safe...I have stored some inportant Passwords and personal information such as resume. I want an program that has a very strong encryption capabilities so that even if they downloaded the file, the data will remain safely encrypted. I mainly want to use it for documents files and small data files(less than 10 mb ) so I don't even need a software that will encrypt entire harddrive.

I heard that " PGP Desktop Pro 9" very very good ..but it is $99 and I will only be using 10% of its avaliable functions. Someone told me that "WinZip" is a good software for what I need but I found out that anyone can delete it from my hard-drive even if they can not see or read the document. Another issue for me is if I cut and paste password from this encrypted file, will key loggers still see my password(from clipboard ?)....or is this totally not related to the encryption software?...

Lastly, any additional information that is relevant to my concerns will be greatly appreciated. I am willing to spend up to about $30 for a good software.  I am sorry if my questions are not so well put together  :=(..I am sure you can tell by now how little I know about these things. Thanks in advance .
