The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Getting "This file does not have a program associated to it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options Control PAnel" when trying to run an .EXE file

I ran into this problem while trying to download/install/run Norton Internet Security 2006 Upgrade. I started to see the errors during the install. Now I can't run almost anything on my WIndows XP system.

I tried following the instructions in
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Security/Win_Security/Q_20442719.html

but they were not working.

I can't disable Windows Restore.
I can't run the FixYaha.com file (even in safe mode)
I can't run regedit, (even in safe mode)

Please help.
