I have been working on it off and on for a few days and removed hundreds of things, but I can't get rid of these winfixer, 888.com popups. I have been running updated Adaware, Spybot, MS AntiSpyware, AVG Free, Kapersky online virus scan, hijackthis, and just installed and ran ewido, but I still cant find whats causing these popups. I am at my wits end, and dont want to reformat this pc, cause I know it will be back this bad in a few weeks.

Hi, please try this.
Please download AproposFix from here:
http://swandog46.geekstogo
Save it to your desktop but do NOT run it yet.
Then please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Once in Safe Mode, please double-click "aproposfix.exe" and unzip it to the desktop. Open the aproposfix folder on your desktop and run "RunThis.bat.
Follow the prompts.
When the tool is finished, please reboot back into normal mode, then post the link to your fresh Hijackthis log along with the entire contents of the "log.txt" file in the aproposfix folder.
Thanks for the responses everyone.
war1 & rpggamergirl,
having read your post, i had done everything but the rootkit revealer. I have never heard of such. but, after a quick scan, I found apropos hidden from the api. following the instructions on the rootkit revealer forum, I found the information aproposfix.exe that rpggamergirl refers to. I executed it in safe mode, and am currently running ewido as a follow-up as referenced on in the RKR forum. once this completes, I'll post those logs and test the system to see if I have any more popup troubles in a bit.
The cleanup and removal appear to be a success. I have performed antivirus, spyware, and rootkit scans following the removal, and found no virus or rootkits, and only minimal spyware threat, which I have now resolved. I have surfed the net for a while, with no sign of popups, so all seems to be well.
War1 and rpggamergirl's posts are the correct answers for this problem. Specifically, the rootkit revealer described in the third step of war1's first post, lead me to find the answer provided by rpggamergirl in the rootkit revealer forums. I split the points evenly among the 2 of you. Though war1's answer led me to the conclusion given by rpggamergirl, I accepted rpggamergirl's answer because of its accuracy for this problem.
Anyway, thanks ppl for the help. I was about to go nuts with those popups, and that rootkit revealer was a life saver.

You HijackThis log looks clean.
1. If you have Windows Messenger Service, disable it. The Messenger is the source of popups and virus.

2. Use Ewido to remove hard to remove spyware

or
Spy Sweeper

3. If you still have popups, you may have a rootkit. Use the following programs to find it
Rootkit Revealer

or
F-Secure Blacklight

or
