The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Upgrading SAV version 9 to version 10 Corp Edition

Hi all,
1. I have zero experience related to SAV
2.The SAV environment are as follows: a1)Primary server is primary_svr, a2)One server group is svr_grp, a3)Five groups: grp1.. grp5, a4) There are 100 clients at group1, a5) There are all at SAV version 9 corp editio.
3. Preparation work: a1) i back up almost everything (from primary_svr) from: C:\prg fls\SAV, C:\prg fls\Symantec\, C:\prg fls\common files\ symantec shares, a2) I read article from dredd0606, chuku, Lseeman, Ghana
4. Testing: a1)I used a WinXP client to start the update, a2) i remove ssc and install the new ssc (Ok), a3) I updated SAV to Version 10 (OK), a4)Result: i)When open SSC, i can see the server group , groups and all clients.
5. Upgrading the primary server itself: a1) I have to remove SSC and install the new one(OK), a2)When upgrading SAV to version 10 through CD: i) Do not recognize the svr_grp,ii) Create a new one (svr_grp), iii) I copied: grc.dat, grcgrp.dat, pki, etc
6. Problem: Now, I can not see svr_grp, svr_grp1, all groups, all clients
7. Pls help  as all clients not connected to primary server now
