The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Windows 2003 server having serious problems after virus/backdoor infection

Hello,

I have previously posted this in the windows 2003 area -

Please read the above post. I hope I can get a better response here...

At present, the server appears stable now that all McAffee services except groupshield are disabled. However, I am hesitant to re-enable the services again because I do not want the server to go into a reboot cycle again. I was recently told that the exchange 2003 information store also quit working for some inexplicable reason. It was manually started however.

I do plan on running all virus/spyware scans throughly tomorrow, including MS malicious software removal tool. I will post any developments here.
