There are several things you can do, e.g. to get the Registry editor to work, make a copy of c:\windows\regedit.exe in the same folder with the name regedit.com and double-click on the copy to run it.

Are you able to run any .exe files at all? If so, I would suggest the following:

(1) Download Autoruns from: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/Autoruns.mspx
(2) Run the program. It lists a bunch of things that start when Windows starts.
(3) From the menu bar, select Options, and uncheck "Include Empty Locations" and "check" "Hide Microsoft Entries"
Important -> Then click the Refresh button in the toolbar.
(4) This will give you a shorter, more meaningful list.
(5) Examine that list and disable anything suspicious by un-checking it. Then reboot and see if it helped.
(6) If not, or if not sure, you can use the File -> Save as.. option in Autoruns to save the list to a text file and then cut and paste it here.

The problem is with one user profile, If I login as administrator is works just fine.

by: johnb6767Posted on 2007-06-21 at 11:41:41ID: 19335761

I would go to

My Computer>C: >Documents and Settings>YOUR USERID

and rename it to

My Computer>C: >Documents and Settings>YOUR USERID-old.

Then login again and retry it with the new profile. If it works, migrate the docs, and favs and email etc. back to the new profile...

This will need to be done after a reboot, using another user account other than your current one. Just create a new temp user to do this with, and make sure it has admin rights.....

- Create a new admin account (say admin2 in this example)
- make a folder "c:\copied.admin.profile"
- reboot and log on to the new admin account
- right-click My Computer, left-click Properties
- Advanced(tab)
- User Profiles - Settings(button)
- highlight the admin account you want to duplicate
- Copy To...(button)
- Browse to the "c:\copied.admin.profile" folder and click OK. It's going to tell you the folder already exists etc, click Yes
- reboot and log on as the regular admin
- go to C:\Documents and Settings\admin2 and delete everything it in (your need to have "view hidden files" enabled)
- go to the new profile folder "c:\copied.admin.profile" and copy everything inside that folder
- paste into C:\Documents and Settings\Spider folder

All permissions and registry settings etc. (from original admin) will now be in admin2. Log off and switching users will suffice now
instead of full reboots.

To remove Trojan,  Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite from here http: / / www. ewido. net/ en/ download.

When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install Background Guard" and "Install scan via context menu".

Launch Ewido (there should be an icon on your desktop doubleclick it).  The program will now go to the main screen.  You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.

On the left hand side of the main screen click update and then click on Start Update.  The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.  If you have problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido.
ewido manual updates http: / / www. ewido. net/ en/ download/ updates/ .  Do not run a scan yet.

When you have done this, boot into Safe Mode (restart your PC and tap F8 as it restarts).

We need to disable a malware service before we run Ewido.  Go to Start > Run and type services.msc and OK.   Look for the below service:

Windows Time Sync (wservtime) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\csrs.exe

When you find it, stop it if it is running, doubleclick on it and change the startup type to disabled.
