  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Virus and internet connection problems

hey guys,

I'm having a issue here with my PC and I really need some help here. I have to get this issue fixed by tomorrow or I will have to format my computer and i def don't want to go down that road.

I am running windows xp (sp2) on a custom build PC. I had Norton Anti Virus, adware and spybot search and destroy installed.

My issue is the I cant connect to the internet and it seems to be a virus issue because I can go on to the internet if i hook up another computer to the same connection. What happens is that IE just freeze up when I try to go to a site.

When i first start my pc, i see this error

so then i assumed it was Norton causing this so i un-installed Norton and all Symantec programs and this error doesn't show up anymore but I still cant get online.

When i try to check for my IP by running IPconfig, I get this error

Also, when i check under my network connections, there is no internet connection icon there and when i try to add one, those windows just freeze up.

This error shows up when I try to open some random programs....

I have already run a bought pro version of Kasperky and spy sweeper. Spy sweeper didn't find anything but Kaspersky found some files in the "C:\WINDOWS" folder which it fixed. None of those things looked like anything serious thought.

Can I get your guys opinions on what you guys think I can do next.
