The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Problem with upgrade

Asked by GenasysTechnologies in Windows Network Security, Exchange Email Server, Server Software

Good day

We recently decided to re-do our domain controller/exchange server for it was giving serious trouble.

We decided to go with server 2008 and exchange server 2007 so that we wouldn't have to do it again any time soon.
We installed the beta version of Server 2008 enterprise and the full version of exchange server 2007.

According to microsoft we had a 60 day trial for server 2008 and could renew it for 30 days 3 times. But upon re-newing
it, the renewal process never worked and now our server cut's out every 2 hours.

We then decided to try to upgrade the version to the latest version which also gave trouble.
Here's the link we got sent to.  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=91679

I looks like we need to prepare our domain for the upgrade but we have a problem.
If I try to run the command to prepare our forest then it say's that I don't have sufficient
privileges to perform those tasks. I was logged on as the domain administrator so I'm not sure why not.
It said that I never had Enterprise Admin and Schema Admin rights. I had a look around and could not find
those groups anywhere but if I try to add them then it says that they already exist, so I'm a bit confused.

Help would be really appreciated.
