Network, PC & server monitoring tools
I am looking for good pc/server/network monitoring tools. I am happy to spend some money on this application for my company. Could you please recommend 1 (best).
basically i would like to capture most of the activites of the PC, most important like to capture the users activities (like to see what files/folder they have access and what they did, copied/deleted/moved or even transfer to external drive etc)

Solarwinds is a networking monitoring tool, which although that is what you asked for is not what you want.
You can enable auditing and then get a product, like the above referenced one, that will do the reporting for you.
There are other products. What you want to look for is a file auditing reporting toold.

You need an employee monitoring application. There are a few mentioned below;

Please be careful with software reference above to do employee monitoring. Most countries/states have laws that require you to notify your employees that they either are or could be monitored.
If you do the level of monitoring that some of the software can do and you do not notify your employees, you could be sued for invasion of privacy even though they are using company resources.

What type of server? Windows. Just enable file auditing and the Event logs will have file access.
However, not matter what you get, you really can't tell the difference between certain file access.
For instance a copy will show up as a read and then a write, assuming they copied to another location on the same server. If they copied it from the server to their local PC, then it is just a read on the server.
A move could appear as a move, if it is from one directory to another on the on the same drive, but if it is moved from one drive to another, it will appear as a read, write and then a copy.
