Windows XP SP3 question about enhanced security for administrator and service policy entries

What precisely does this new security feature entail? As in, what does it do and has anyone seen any changes for the better or worse in a typical environment? What the heck is System Center Essentials?

The bit in their winxp sp3 documentation:
Enhanced security for Administrator and Service policy entries      In System Center Essentials for Windows XP SP3, Administrator and Service entries will be present by default on any new instance of policy. Additionally, the user interface for the Impersonate Client After Authentication user right will not be able to remove these settings.Start Free Trial

XP SP3 security is designed to mimic windows Vista -- both in network and login security.  If you run vista or know its serious limitations, you will understand why a lot of XP users are NOT upgrading to SP3 -- you will have to totally re-authenticate the product, as well as go through a lot of M$ interrogation / validation.

Thanks. That does sound annoying, but if it is set to auto-update (going to have to check) most of my users will be getting this update.

More bugs rolling in about SP3 update.  Why not go back to SP2 for the time being, plus any major update of last year, and wait until M$ fixes its endless SP3 bugs -- lots of blue screens, etc.

Thanks for the tidbits. I should have been more clear... I won't go to SP3 purposely. Way too soon. But I have a lot of remote users that have auto-updates turned on. If it is an auto-update, they are going to get it before my people touch their PCs again.  :(  Been too busy to see if it's an auto-update, but if it isn't now it will be too soon, I'm sure.
