I turned my PC on this morning as normal and attempted to fire up my web browser (Firefox 2).
However, the connection timed out and I was unable to surd the internet.
I tried with IE and the same happened.
I turned Zonealarm off, and I was able to view the internet - so clearly it is a Zonealarm problem.
I tried various solutions - I re-booted several times, I uninstalled Zonealarm and reinstalled it, repeating several times following the latest advice on how to compeltely remove ZA.
Still I cannot access the internet with ZA operating.
I then discovered a setting that was causing the problem.
Internet Zone Security was set to High. Moving this to Medium allows me to access the internet. If I return it to High, I am unable to access the internet....
I'm sure this was set to High before (ie. up till yesterday), yet now I am unable to access the internet with the setting on High.
The Trusted Zone Security is set to Medium (as it was before).
Why can I no longer surf the internet with the Internet Zone Security set to High?
Cheers,
Don
