I have share point services running on a server 2k3 in my company and would like to gives access to users externally (over the internet). I currently have a checkpoint r65 firewall on secure platform.
I tried doing a rule on the firewall using SRV_REDIRECT(80,192.168.16
9.32,80). This makes my internet go totally dead. The rule is any soure to any destination and i use the service as srv_redirect above.
If i change the in port SRV_REDIRECT(8080,192.168.
169.32,80)
i get a prompt for a username and password from the sharepoint server. When i put in the info it tries to find a webpage and then i get a page cannot be found error in internet explorer.
Is there any way i can define the webserver as a server in checkpoint so externall users can access it easily.
