Launching image flash:/asa802-k8.bin
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!! This is an ASA image and cannot be loaded on a PIX platform !
Does anyone know if that image willwork on a pix 525? According to cisco website the 525 will support version 8. has anyone updated a pix not an asa to version 8? if so what image did you use?
thanks jm

You need to download and install the PIX 8.0(2) image - not the ASA 8.0(2) image. They are different.
Your 525 will most likely be fine - I believe you need 64mb ram is it
