The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. PIX Device Manager (PDM) will not connect to PIX firewall?

I can succefully access my Pix Device Manager (PDM) software via HTTPS but when the PDM tries to connect to the firewall it fails.  Supposedly the PDM is always connected to the PIX firewall via HTTPS and SSL but for some reason, ours has stopped connecting.  Clicking on the reconnect button does not get it to reconnect.  Actually, I did reconnect once or twice for about 10 seconds but then it lost connectivity.

This problem just seemd to start suddenly and we have made absolutely no changes to the CISCO PIX.  I have an open trouble ticket with the CISCO TAC but have not made much headway with them.Start Free Trial
