PIX upgrade when PIX is also gateway

We are trying to upgrade our PIX 515E via monitor and TFTP.  The PIX has an internal address of 192.168.10.1, it also serves as our LAN gateway.  The upgrade bin file exists on a server 192.168.10.11 that uses aforementioned gateway.  File does not upload successfully.  What would be a solution under current network config?
