The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Hello experts,

I have a Cisco 3560 core with 2 subnets.  192.168.200.0/22 and 172.31.3.32/27.  The default gateway of the 3560 is my PIX506E which is 172.31.3.33.  Anything on the 172.31.3.32 subnet can get outside access fine but im having problems with 192.168.200.0.
What I need to do is have a outside vendor access these devices on the 192 subnet through the pix and I have setup a PAT(Port Address translation)and ACLs and the ACLs show hit counts but access does not work.  THe only thing i can think of is its having problems getting back out.

What I have done so far is in my PIX i have route inside 192.168.200.0 255.255.252.0 172.31.3.39 (.39  is the IP interface on the 3560) With that i am able to ping from the PIX to the devices on 192 and ping from the devices on 192 to the PIX internal interface but I can not ping outside (and of course the port address translation I setup is not working)
The devices on the 192 subnet is configured as 192.168.200.11/22 with a gateway of 192.168.200.3 which is the other IP interface configured on the 3560 core.

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Regards,
