Setting PIX to alter routes for NAT when request comes internally

Asked by Telstar-Networks in Cisco PIX Firewall

Okay, so this should be pretty easy, just my experience doesn't lie in routers.

So the PIX is NATing a number of public IP addresses to internal IPs for our servers that require it, web servers, etc.

Here is my question:  Let's say I have a web server at 1.2.3.4, where that IP is NATed in the PIX to 10.1.1.1.  Whenever any local computer requests 1.2.3.4, the request gets lost in the routing and never shows up.  For the local computer to get to the web server, it must use 10.1.1.1.

Is there any way that I can set up that NAT to where when it sees local IP addresses sending the request, it knows to return 10.1.1.1 instead of 1.2.3.4?Start Free Trial
