I highly recommend the book Cisco PIX Firewalls by Richard A Deal. It is the best beginners' guide to PIXs.
Now I get a dollar from Richard.

Browse All TopicsI recently was sorting through a bunch of old equipment and came across a Cisco PIX 501. Using this site I was able to reset the password and restore to defaults. I dont know how to program this thing and require a lot of help. I have a deep understanding of concepts and other manufacturers just have never programmed a Cisco. My company has always farmed out Cisco work.
Ultimately I would like my 5 Static Addresses from ISP to be routed through PIX. I run 2 different companies servers each with their own routers and firewalls. I would like to consolidate to this PIX. Each server has its own private subnet so I would also need to have the PIX route for both subnets. 1-to-1 NAT and securing the device. VPN is also a requirement.
