Hi,
The java down grade is totally unnecessary, all you have to do is.
1) Find the asdm-launcher.config file (C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\ASDM\asdm-launcher
2)
3) Open the file and add the following line:
javapath c:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin
4) Save the file and replace the read only check
Regards,
Fraser.
This fix worked for me - suddenly ADSM would just freeze when trying to load.
Please check that the file *exists*, not that the path is correct...
i.e. Browse to the location "c:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6._07\bin\
If you don't have the "jre1.6._07" folder (as I suspect) then re-install the Java SE Runtime Environment 6u7.
