I am trying to restore the settings from a .txt backup to a pix 501 and I'm having some trouble. I set up a tftp server and tried telnetting to copy the settings but didn't work. I've used the config net command the copy tftp flash and nothing worked. Is there a way I can copy this .txt configuration to the pix?

I was able to copy the .txt config file into the pix successfully however, it merged with the default config. I tried entering 'clear config all' at the top of the .txt file but it just locks up and disconnects. the pix is using the wrong inside ip's that are different in the config file so the vpn is not working correctly.

The following procedure should work. Make sure you don't have a windows firewall or some other filter that is blocking access to your tftp server from the pix. /products/ hw/vpndevc /ps2030/ pr oducts_tec h_note0918 6a00807214 2a.shtml
