We currently have a trixbox online in our office. We just added 2 T-1s to our network - 1 for data and 1 for voice. We would like to plug the T-1 voice router directly into the trixbox and allow all phone traffic to go out eth0 - Looking for the best way to set this up.
Network info
3 locations - connected through vpns to main office - 10.0.2.0/24 10.0.3.0/24 10.0.4.0/24 all connect back to 10.0.1.0/24
the ip of asterisk is 10.0.1.250 (eth1) external to cisco router (eth0) 66.9.xx.xx
i know iptables but i am horrible at it. i heard about shorewall firewall software. i just need the best and simpliest method with a little help i messed up a bunch on it already and have major trouble getting this to work properly. right now the phones dont fully register. they download the config and process but never show up in sip peer list.
