Adding Compact Flash To CISCO ASA 5510
I am adding DRAM and COMPACT flash to my ASA 5510. DRAM recognizes fine but the compact flash seems to be intermittent.
The internal 256mb compact flash is recognized, and about every 3 reboot, the 512 compact flash is as well.
If there is a process to begin using/formatting the compact flash.

The ASA 5510 doesn't have internal flash. All references to flash: or disk0: are references to the CF card.

There was never a flash card prior and there appeared to be 256mb.
On every couple of reboots, it will show 2 entries in the sh ver
1 for internal flash and 1 for the CF card.

Interesting. The pair of ASA5510 units I was just working on have only the 256MB compact flash card in each.
What does a "show file system" give you when the system recognizes everything?
