I'm looking for a Network Access Control or Intrusion Detection System IDS for an organization with 200 Terminal Server users. What is out there that would allow me know when the network has been compromised?
Some backgroung... the terminal servers will be at a collocation site, about 200 users from 6 branch offices will be connecting to the Terminal Servers via Sonicwall VPN. I've heard of Snort, but before I commit to it I want to know what off the shelf solutions are available that are as good but much easier to implement. I'm assuming that I'll have to spend a few days learning all about Snort before I can implement it, right? Is there anything out there that is well respected but easier to use?
Thanks!
