Umm I don't think so. That website doesn't look like the kind of site I want to visit with a server. Thanks though.

I am trying to login to a computer at one of my customer's offices with the Remote Desktop Web Connection feature.
I enter the IP address then the virtual director as instructed.
The Windows XP machine I am using to remote control the system says " Remote Desktop Web Connection ActiveX control could not be installed. A connection to cannot be made without a working installed version of the control." comes up.
I checked and verified the port forward on the firewall.
What can I do to fix this?
The most recent set of windows updates was loaded and now this doesn't work. Also IE 7 was installed and I am running it as well on the machine I am trying to connect with.

How about this legitimate site from MS:

sounds like the user account used on the remotepc does not have sufficient permissions, which will not allow you to download the active x control. Most likely internet explorer is settings are set to disable running active controls. Take a look into Tools --> Internet Options --> Security Tab --> Security --> Custom Settings --.> Active X controls and Settings. Also make sure that remote desktop is allowed as an exception on both ends through the Windows XP Firewall.
