Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. MUVPN setup when my external interface gets DHCP from ISP

Hi,

My network setup is as follows:

1. US Robotics 9113 modem/router  with IP PPP extension (DSL connection via PPPoA)
to
2. External Interface of Firebox x1250e (Running Fireware 10.2)

Having this connection method I get a DHCP IP Adress to the external interface of the Firebox assigned by my ISP like 85.72.xx.xxx

So far so good, the netowrk works like a charm with no issues at all.

Today, i tried to create MUVPN, entered the wizard, make all settings like it supposed to be.

Problem is that i cannot export my .wgx file to use it with my VPN clients becase the Primary IP of my firebox cannot be filled in. I tried to put 85.72.xx.xxx but WSM says "The Primary Firebox IP does not match any configured external IP addresses.  This IP is assigned to my external interface by my ISP via DHCP as stated above.

What am I doing wrong? The firebox sees DHCP in the external interface and it cannot continue? How can i get pass through this? Is there any workaround?

 I want my external interface in the FB to have a WAN IP so i can avoid double NATing with my modem/router.
