Cannot use PPTP VPN AD authentication on Watchguard X750e

Hello,

I do have a X750e Firebox (running Fireware v10.2.7). On this box several PPTP users are defined and authenticated locally. I would like to use the AD integration feature but can't get it to work. I am using the MS VPN with my AD account (which as been removed from the Firebox user list), without luck.

Steps followed so far:

- enabled Active Directory server
- checked the IP address
- checked the TCP port: default 389
- checked the search base with ADSIEdit
- leave default group string (memberOf)
- searching user: tried without user and with administrator user
- login attribute: leave default (sAMAccountName)

Any help would be appreciated.

External auth server which can be used with PPTP or RUVPN is only RADIUS; so if you have implemented RADIUS server, please follow the link below:
