Question

Norton Internet Security blocks some webs sites, but if its disabled I can access them

Asked by: mikelodder

When I try to go to hotmail.com or various different web sites, they only come up as a blank white page, but if I disable norton internet security the web sites all run normal and I can access them and everything.  How can I access these sites without having to turn off Norton Internet Security everytime?

Yes, they area all on default, as well as in internet properties I reset everything to default and I still have the same problem.  I tried also to add them in the list in Norton Internet Security under options, at the web content tab I tried adding it to the list then changing everything to permit but that didn't work either.

okkkkkkkkkkk =\

Is it happening in all users or with specific users,,,,, can u consider abt uninstalling and reinstalling NIS :-?

by: mikelodderPosted on 2004-06-19 at 15:18:49ID: 11352668

Its with every user on the computer.  I'll try to uninstall and reinstall NIS and see if that works.

I uninstalled NIS 2003 and downloaded NIS 2004 and on the uninstall I didn't save the settings so they would be fresh on the install and now I can see every page I couldn't before.  That solution works.  Thanks
