Hello,
I have two question about NetMeeting and MSN Messenger in ISA Server 2004 Standard:
1. How to configure ISA Server 2004 to allow inbound NetMeeting calls?
In my company we are using MS ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition to secure our network from Internet (T1 connection), we have published some servers to the Internet and give basic Internet access to the users (allow web, ftp, mail, dns and outbound netmeeting calls), everything is working ok, some days ago a help desk person request us allow inbound NetMeeting calls for his computer because needs accept calls from our customers and remote control their computers to install and check problems with the software that the company develops.
Then we have created a protocol called "NetMeeting server" with the following parameters: TCP as the protocol type, Outbound direction, 1720 fo the port range, after create the protocol we have created a server publishing rule selecting the "NetMeeting server" protocol and redirecting the traffic from the external network to the Help Desk computer IP address.
We have tested that configuration using a Internet cable connection and does not work, our netmeting shows that "The person you called is not able to accept NetMeeting calls.", then we have setup the NAT service in the router of the cable connection the same configuration (redirect all incoming traffic in the port 1720 to the help desk computer and setting up the IP address of the router as the gateway in the help desk computer) and its works, is something wrong or missing in the configuration of the ISA Server?
2. How to configure ISA Server 2004 to allow Audio / Video in the MSN Messenger?
Other question is how to the setup in same ISA Server 2004 to allow our users to use the Audio / Video features of the MSN Messenger, currently we have allowed internet access to the users for web, ftp, dns and outbound netmeeting calls and we have noticed that MSN messenger is able to connect to the Internet but the Audio / Video communication fails, using our other direct internet connection (cable) works, may be we need setup a special rule for the MSN messenger?
I will appreciate any help, Thanks!
Limber Jaimes.
