I have been using BlackIce Server Protection for years, and love it. Very disappointed that it is EOL.
I am looking for the "closest match" out there as a replacement on 2 (Win2k) web servers. Specifically:
* Host-based so as to be able to examine the decrypted SSL packets for signatures of known exploits (network based appliances can't do that)
* Immediately and automatically block IP addresses when suspicious activity is detected
* Very simple management / interface
* I am not looking for AV... I'll let the appliance handle that.
What are other ex-BISP users heading to? Thanks!

I would look at ISS's Proventia server product. vices/us/i ndex.wss/o ffering/is s/ a1027204

It will do the things you listed and more. Of course you could also look at McAfee's HIPS, or Cisco's Security Agent. But I think the ISS product would more closely resemble what you have been using.
