Is it possible to allow 301 redirections with the Watchguard if that's the issue. I have gmail.oyhfs.org being redirected with htaccess but for some reason those behind the firewall cannot be redirected.

Redirect Http URL from Watchguard Firebox X1000
How can I redirect a URL for instance http://www.oldurl.com to http://www.newurl.com to all users that try to access the URL behind a Watchguard Firebox X1000. I'm not trying to block them but redirect them.

Redirection is not possible as WG does not act as HTTP proxy server.
You can either allow/block access to specific URL; and if you are using webblocker can give a custom message when a URL is blocked by WG.
