The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

ISA Firewall Settings

Asked by Atouray in Network Software Firewalls

Tags: ISA server 2006

I am setting up ISA Server 2006 and I would need to know how best can I set it so that I would not run into problems. So I will try to explain the ways I am trying to set it up and I would like to know if this will really work for me.

Presently I have the following
1. Domain Controller
2. DHCP Server (users obtain their ip address default gateway set as the ip address of the Router)
3. Router configured as the default gateway

so Clients  -->> Router-->> outside

Now what I want to do is the integrate the ISA Server 2006 in the above setup so that everybody going out of out network will go through the ISA server, so that we can control the flow of traffic in and out of the network
So this is way I want to set it up
1. Router Configuration remains
2. I will change the default gateway configured in the DHCP server for the client computers     to  the IP ADDRESS OF THE ISA Server because i want the clients to go through the ISA Server.
3. Then the default gateway of the ISA Server will be the ip address of the Router.

so Clients --> ISA Server -->> Router-->> outside
So do you think the above setup is accurate or I need to do more.
