Browse All TopicsI have a customer running winXP home, one of 3 PCs on a peer to peer network and the only one with web access. It has Norton Anti-virus 2003 fully up to date, Zone4 Alarm, and I have also run Ad-Aware and Spybot.
As soon as the PC goes online, pop ups start coming, including - free polyphonic ringtones, Traffic Marketplace, EzBoard, Matchnet, ADTrans etc.
Today the internet stopped working, and I found that the dial-up networking icon had been removed.
Can anyone give me some clues as to how I can find the source of the trouble.
Regards John.
