The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Lsass.exe failure

I have what appears to be a virus causing lsass.exe to crash resulting in a system reboot. At first I thought this might be a Sasser virus variant so I ran the Sasser removal to but it did not find anything..

Then I did the usual - updated windows, updated Symantec anti-virus (these were about a coule of months out of date :/ ), started Windows in safe mode and did s Symantec scan. Nothing.

Further research led be to check if it was the Kogol virus, which has similar effects on lsass.exe. Wasn't that either.

I need to know what it is and how to remove it or I'm in trouble for messing up my update schedules!

Any help much appreciated.
