The Solution Rating System
|
|
| With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site. If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support. Thank you! |

Asked by sjmc2002 in Networking Security Vulnerabilities, HijackThis Software, Anti-Virus
I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 on my network that has been getting the blue screen of death lately. The blue screen error code is 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x80573FBD, 0xAA73FBE8, 0x00000000). I have chatted with Dell and they told me to run the system Diagnostic CD. They said it was propably a memory issue. The system passed all Dell Diagnostic test, including a custom memory test.
I work for a local municipality and we run Trend Micro Office Scan. All other PC's on the network have Scan engine version 8.911. The machine in question is stuck at version 8.900. I have to update the scan engine from the machine as well as from the server. I disjoined the machine from the domain and put it back in a workgroup. I removed Office Scan and installed and ran Trend Micro PC-Cillin 2008 and it found a problem that it could not fix. It found a TROJ_GENERIC.DIS, the infected file is C:\windows\system32\logoff
.log.
I have attached the Hijack This Log.
Please help me, how can I get rid of this thing. There are a lot of Police Dept system setup and configured on this machine and really do not want to reimage it.
