PC Vulneribility to Wirelessly Connected Laptop

Is my main PC at risk for an infection if one is downloaded via a wirelessly connected laptop?  I am on Charter Cable.

Here's the scenario: I'm connected to the internet on a laptop in my home via a Linksys wireless router.  The main computer in the house is a PC. I'm downloading sports videos via Limewire and a virus, spyware, trojan, malware warning appears.  Is my PC in danger of being infected also?

Hi,

if your laptop gets infected there is a possibility that your PC gets infected too, especially if Windows Firewall is disabled on the PC.

I recommend that you do one of the following for further protection:

1 - Enable Windows Firewall With no exceptions on the firewall to prevent incoming traffic from the wireless

or

2 - Configure the Wireless Router with AP Isloation mode, this will prevent the wireless laptop from accessing the PC (you should locate that in the advanced wireless configuration in the Linksys Configuration
