Hey Guys, First time poster to EE but definitely not the first time I've used the site for help! We're a little lost here.
I work in an office running about a 100 XP Machines and our Servers running 2003. For the past month, we've been getting a lot of calls from users saying that some sites they are going to are not working. By not working, I mean when they try to go to sites like MSN.com or google.com, a GoDaddy.com offer site is displayed instead. Give it about 15 minutes, flush their DNS and all seems to be well. The site can be completely random, and doesn't affect other sites, for example if google is being redirected to the godaddy site, they can still type in MSN.com and get there just fine. But it keeps sprouting up on different users machines and at random times and for totally random sites. I've even gotten it myself once a few weeks ago, and I'm positive I don't have any spyware or malware, which of course was our first instincts when faced with this issue.
We've ran trace routes and it seems that the request is being redirected before it goes out. Our DNS Servers all seem to be fine and correct for all users. Has anyone else ever seen this? And Ideas on the right direction to go in?
Thanks Everyone!
